The Panelists
The panelists include two distinguished veterans of self-storage with deep industry experience.
Peter Spickenagel is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Citizen Storage Management. Citizen provides comprehensive self-storage business management for self-storage owners. Peter has overseen operations for nearly 100 self-storage facilities consisting of over 40,000 units with 5.3 million rentable square feet. He also currently serves as Chairman and President of SSAM. Peter is a frequent speaker at national conferences providing industry insights on critical topics such as revenue management, operational best practices, creative marketing campaigns, and the latest technology trends.
Randy Weissman is the Chief Operating Office of Pogoda Companies. Pogoda owns a portfolio of self-storage brands and provides turn-key management for self-storage owners. Randy has previously served as President of Storage Banc, a private portfolio that was successfully sold to a REIT in 2014. He also held key roles such as Vice President of Strategy for Storage Rentals of America (SROA), Vice President of Operations for National Storage Affiliates (iStorage), Vice President of Operations for World Class Capital (Great Value Storage), and Vice President of Public Storage Pickup & Delivery. Randy is a sought-after speaker, panelist, moderator ad educator at national and regional self-storage and mobile self-storage conferences.
